Alyssa comes to Home Land Environmental from the Harford County Health Department where she was previously an intern and consultant. She assisted in various types of inspections including septic and pool, pulling building permits and working with the Bay Restoration Fund. She studied Environmental Health at Towson University where she recently graduated in December 2016.
Why do you do what you do? We do it for the people! I like that I play a role in helping our clients be educated about the environmental quality of their home. Helping them make informed decisions to improve their quality of life and protect their families is very rewarding.
What is the most surprising thing about your job? Not exactly “surprising” but impressive is the fact that all 20 radon monitors we own are calibrated annually and go through duplicate testing twice a year as well to ensure they are producing accurate measurements.
What animal most closely matches your personality? A unicorn because I’m creative and like to have fun
