Home Land Environmental specializes in property evaluations for real estate transactions. As a neutral third party, we provide impartial inspections that include septic evaluations, camera septic & sewer inspections, well yield testing, water sampling & analysis, mold sampling & analysis, and radon testing. Our in-house lab ensures accurate and speedy results for both water and mold analysis. 

With locations in Baltimore, Annapolis, Waldorf, and Lancaster, PA, we have been serving the real estate community since 2004. Our services are available 7 days a week.

Licensed Wastewater/Water Operator — Annapolis
Knowledge of operating a water treatment and distribution system.   Knowledge of wastewater systems is preferred, but not required.  General knowledge of mathematics, plumbing and electrical controls, with the ability to accurately read gauges, meters, level indicators, etc. Experienced in taking samples, using testing equipment to analyze samples and make recommendations based on results. Experience in the fields Water Treatment and Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Treatment or Industrial Maintenance is a plus. Water Operator Certification is required.  Wastewater Operators Certification is a plus, but not required. Experienced in performing maintenance, repairs and construction work on these systems. Perform other related duties as required.  High school diploma is required. Considerable knowledge of potential hazards associated with this work, with ability to recognize and implement appropriate safety precautions. Effective spoken and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and maintain clear, concise and accurate forms and reports. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.

Environmental Inspector — Baltimore
We are looking for a sharp individual with an entrepreneurial mindset to perform evaluations of residential properties for real estate transactions. Seeking a trustworthy professional to operate a Rigid fiber-optic camera and earn your certification to perform water sampling and conduct septic inspections. All certifications/licenses paid for by Home Land Environmental. Opportunities to earn your Pump Installers license, radon certification and mold sampling certification are also available. Join local real estate professional chapters and attend networking events to enhance our footprint in the industry. Experienced Environmental Inspectors will have the opportunity to teach CE classes available for real estate agents. Must have superb communication skills and not be afraid to get your hands dirty while learning a new field. Daily work will include locating and accessing septic systems for visual inspections, collecting water quality samples from private wells, connecting hoses to pressure tanks to determine the yield among other duties. If the system does not have access, digging may be required. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 pounds and enjoy working outdoors yearlong. Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy, is required. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and will successfully pass a criminal background check. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science is strongly preferred.

Environmental Technician — Lancaster
Looking for a career change? We are seeking a sharp individual with an entrepreneurial mindset interested in expanding their knowledge in a new field. This position will perform mold and water sampling, radon in the air testing and sewer scoping for residential properties in the Philadelphia/Wilmington area. Training will take place in the Baltimore area. Seeking a trustworthy professional to operate a Rigid fiber-optic camera and earn certifications to perform this testing. All certifications/licenses paid for by Home Land Environmental. Must have superb communication skills, proficient in Microsoft applications and enjoy working outdoors yearlong. Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and will successfully pass a criminal background check.  Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy, is required. Paid on-the-job training is provided. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are also required. A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science is strongly preferred or equivalent experience.

Full-Time Courier/Delivery Driver (Non CDL) — Baltimore Area
Seeking a reliable, career-oriented individual to provide courier services between our branch offices. Pick up and drops offs will start in Rosedale, MD at 5:00 am and involve transporting water samples to Annapolis and Waldorf, MD then back to Rosedale with occasional additional stops along the route. No food delivery or passenger transportation involved in this position. Must have experience as a delivery driver, courier, rideshare company or similar occupation. Prefer experience driving a company-owned vehicle or a vehicle representing a company. Must be 18 years old or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check. Strong time management and communication skills also required. Growth opportunities available within. Perfect for an early riser that enjoys long drives! The ideal schedule is 5 am-1 pm Tuesday-Saturday.

Licensed Well Pump Installer or Licensed Plumber — Baltimore
Looking for a career change? Home Land Environmental is actively seeking a licensed well pump installer or licensed plumber for immediate hire. Our team has a solid reputation of providing impartial third-party inspections and testing for our clients for over 15 years. We have successfully positioned ourselves as leaders in the real estate community and are ready to expand the business to new levels.

We are looking for a sharp professional to perform Baltimore County Regulated Well Yields and sewer inspections using a fiber optic See Snake camera. Our ideal candidate is an ambitious problem solver, detail-oriented, and thrives working independently with a high degree of accuracy. Work will also include repairs of broken caps, cleanouts, stacks, and hose bibs. Also toilet replacement. Knowledge of plumbing code and the ability to pull permits are required. Well-drilling experience is a plus.

Accounts Receivable Associate — Baltimore
This full time accounting specialist position involves working to ensure the company receives all payments and records transactions accordingly. Duties including maintaining accurate accounting records, recording information in accounting software and the company database, collecting payment from clients, preparing reports, correcting errors in journal entries, reconciliations of general ledger accounts related to accounts receivable. Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, history and coordinating efforts with management. Protects organizations by keeping information confidential. Experience in these duties is required in addition to familiarity with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.  A/R experience and/or an accounting degree is preferred. Ability to successfully resolve discrepancies is required. Will work closely with other areas of accounting and operations. Must report to Rosedale office Monday-Friday. Some weekend work may be required. Our ideal candidate is a dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail. Must have effective communication skills and be a creative problem solver to resolve billing and collection issues. The ability to attend networking events and lead special projects as needed is available.

Customer Service Representative — Baltimore
This administrative position is perfect for someone with a marketing, business or communications background who thrives working in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail is a must. This position involves a high level of customer interaction. Excellent customer service skills required (includes answering incoming calls, establishing rapport, probing, upselling and scheduling the appointment. Availability to work overtime as the business’ needs require is preferred. May include evenings and weekends. The ability to facilitate resolutions quickly and efficiently while multi-tasking is desired. Can easily adapt to changing priorities and processes with a desire to learn.
